We decided Pisac was the perfect place. It is only 1/2 hour from Cusco, has a beautiful sky and you can walk to town (15 min walk) into the Fair where people from the remote communities of the Andes come down to sell or interchange greens, beans, maiz (corn), cheese, knitting, etc.

Pisac is known for its famous ruins, the Intihuatana and the Fair, Mon-Thrs-Sat-Sun.

The altitude in Pisac is 2,900 mt. which compared to Cusco that is 3,300 mt., allows you to get used to the altitude easily.
